Winter activities

"We love winter in the Val Pusteria/Pustertal Valley!"

Alta Pusteria with its white splendor in winter is a welcome change from the stress of everyday life. The Pustertal Valley offers countless opportunities to do sports in the cold season. Family-friendly, uncrowded ski areas in Sillian, Kartitsch and Obertilliach offer more than 60 km of fun on the slopes.

Several times a day you have the opportunity to get to the valley station of the Alta Pusteria ski area free of charge. Our guesthouse is only 2 km away from the Thurntaler ski area. The ski bus stop is right in front of our house. The train runs at regular intervals to the neighboring Drei Zinnen and Kronplatz ski areas.

The local mountains are a real gem for ski tourers. Tours in the Villgraten and Lesachtal valleys are particularly popular, not forgetting the South Tyrolean Dolomites (UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009).

For those who prefer to strap on their cross-country skis, there are a total of 120 km of perfectly groomed skating and double-track trails.

Red cheeks - a feeling of well-being. The romantic winter landscape and the cold, fresh air are perfect for long winter hikes, horse-drawn sleigh rides, sledding and numerous laps on the ice rinks.
